Tina Pender holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and in Psychology and is a licensed teacher. She has taught multiple subjects from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Tina has taught in public schools and has served as a developmental therapist for infants and toddlers with special needs. While Tina has received Slingerland training through Simultaneous Multisensory Institute of Language Arts (SMILA), she considers her best “vocational training” to have been growing up with a sibling with dyslexia. She deeply understands the challenges that families encounter while learning to effectively address dyslexia. Tina is a Certified Academic Language Therapist and has over 25 years of teaching experience. She is also trained in Multisensory Math through ASDEC and has experience teaching and multisensory grammar as well.

In addition to spending time with her husband and their three wonderful daughters, Tina enjoys traveling with her husband, tending her flower gardens, and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.
