Every parent wants to see their child feel confident in school—but for many families, dyslexia can make learning feel like an uphill battle. We know that feeling well, because it’s what inspired our founder to start Hoover Learning Group.
When qualified dyslexia specialists were hard to find, we set out to change that by making high-quality, evidence-based therapy accessible to more families. What began as one therapist’s mission has grown into a team of Certified Academic Language Therapists serving students across Middle Tennessee.
Over the years, we’ve seen hundreds of students rediscover their confidence, reconnect with the joy of learning, and realize that dyslexia doesn’t define them—it’s simply part of who they are.
Our Approach

At Hoover, we combine the care of a private therapist with the standards of a professional clinical practice. Our Certified Academic Language Therapists use Take Flight, a structured literacy program developed specifically for students with dyslexia, to help learners strengthen the underlying skills needed for reading and writing success.
Each student’s journey begins with an assessment of their strengths, challenges, and learning style. From there, therapy is tailored to their individual needs—whether in-person or through our virtual programs, which deliver the same multisensory, interactive experience online.
