Dear Parents,
If your child is in grades 3–6 and struggling with reading, attention, or confidence in school, I’d like to personally invite you to learn more about Hoover Academy.Many of the families we meet are searching for something different — a place where their child receives daily, specialized support while rebuilding the confidence that can be lost when learning feels harder than it should.
Hoover Academy was designed specifically for students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other language-based learning challenges. Our program combines daily structured literacy intervention with small-group instruction from Certified Academic Language Therapists in a calm, predictable learning environment designed to help students make meaningful academic progress while rebuilding confidence.
A Structured, Supportive Day
Our day is consistent and predictable. Clear routines help reduce anxiety and increase focus, especially for students with attention and executive functioning challenges.
Daily Dyslexia Intervention
Each day includes structured literacy instruction using the Take Flight curriculum, taught by our Certified Academic Language Therapists (CALTs).
Instruction is:
Explicit and systematic
Multisensory
Personalized to each student
This daily support strengthens reading, spelling, and comprehension skills while building confidence.
Small Classes, Individualized Support
Classes are limited to no more than four students, allowing for true individualization. Every teacher at Hoover Academy is a licensed CALT or CALP (Certified Academic Language Practitioner), and every subject is taught using evidence-based, multisensory methods.
This ensures learning is:
Coordinated across subjects
Responsive to each child’s needs
Focused on real growth
The result is a program that is comprehensive, coordinated, and transformative.
Executive Function & Confidence Building
Students in grades 3–6 are also learning how to manage their time, stay organized, and advocate for themselves. These skills are taught and reinforced throughout the day.
We also build in structured movement and thoughtful transitions to help students stay regulated and engaged.
Flexibility with Expertise
Hoover Academy offers the flexibility of homeschool paired with the expertise of highly trained specialists.
We maintain detailed records and documentation of each student’s progress. If a family chooses to transition back to a traditional school, we work closely with you on placement and transition planning to ensure a smooth process.
